New data have been released (for 2011) from The World Factbook, the famous CIA yearbook, which enjoys more authority among Western audiences than statistics from, say, the UN or the World Bank. How might The World Factbook data be of interest to Russian readers? For example, by the fact that, through them, we can assess our position in the world and check the election statements of our political leaders, for example, Putin, about the existing and future economic achievements of Russia.

Interesting analysis. To be honest, you shouldn’t really trust open statistics, it has long become a “selling girl of propaganda”, but some conclusions can be drawn, for example, about where whose ears stick out, whose horns are visible and whose tail dangles.

Through the obvious and well-known facts, the editors noticed some uncertainty and even hysteria, well, something like: guys, there’s a big mess ahead that will cover everyone, isn’t it time to sign a big water truce?
