According to its representatives, the operation was carried out on Saturday at the Inova Fairfax Hospital clinic in Virginia. Dick Cheney was on a sheet of transplantation for more than 20 months. "Although neither Cheini nor his family know the personality of the donor, they will be forever grateful to him for this gift that saves life," the statement said.

Dick Cheney had heart problems for a long time: in his life he suffered five heart attacks, the last of which is in 2010. Earlier, he served two terms as vice president under George Bush Jr.
