In the Gulf of Finland, 11 fishermen were rescued from a breakaway ice floe, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Leningrad Region reported.
At about 12:30, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a message that in the Tolbukhin lighthouse area of the Lomonosovsky district of the Leningrad region, an ice floe with 11 amateur fishermen broke off.
“At 13:00, the fishermen were removed from the ice floe by the duty shift of the regional search and rescue team on a hovercraft,” the message says.
