A Muscovite will stand trial for posting intimate photographs of his ex-lover on the Internet.

A Muscovite who posted intimate photographs of his former lover on the Internet will appear in court. A criminal case has been opened against him under four articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - 119 (threat of murder), 163 (extortion), 137 (violation of privacy) and 325 (theft of a passport).

The official representative of the capital department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Victoria Tsyplenkova, told Interfax on Monday that the 32-year-old man thus took revenge on his girlfriend for refusing to meet and return the gifted jewelry.

“Between July and September 2011, after breaking up with the victim, the man threatened her with violence using a stun gun, and also demanded the return of the jewelry he had given him,” Tsyplenkova noted.

According to her, after the girl refused to continue the relationship, the man posted intimate photos of her on social networks and sent them to her employer.

In addition, according to investigators, he stole the girl’s passport, threatening to issue numerous loans to her.
