In Chuvashia, a minibus in which schoolchildren were traveling to sports competitions collided with a car. As a result of the accident, four children and the driver were injured, the press service of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic reported on Monday.
“There were 12 children inside the minibus, four of whom were injured,” the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reported, noting that all the victims were hospitalized.
The minibus contained schoolchildren from the village of Korak-Churachiki, Cheboksary district, who were going to a competition in the village of Kugesi.
“At an uncontrolled intersection, a VAZ-21703 car crashed into a minibus, the driver of which, before turning left, did not take the appropriate extreme position on the roadway intended for movement in this direction in advance.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate noted that the accident occurred on a straight section of the highway, in conditions of good visibility. Despite the fact that the guilt of the driver of the car was obvious, an administrative protocol was also drawn up against the driver of the minibus due to the fact that the minor passengers were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. It also turned out that the bus driver did not have special documents with him permitting the transportation of children.
