According to investigators, in October 2011, the official concluded with
by a private person, a contract for the sale and purchase of a land plot with a total area of ​​670 thousand square meters. m, located on the banks of the Volga River in the Kalininsky district, worth more than 173 million rubles, reports the Interfax agency.

“At the same time, Artimenko knew for sure that this site was
an object of federal property, its disposal is within the competence of the Russian Ministry of Defense," Markin said.

However, he noted, despite this, Artimenko “concluded
illegal transaction worth more than 8 million rubles, appropriating
powers of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, thereby causing damage to the state in the amount of more than 164 million rubles,” said a representative of the RF Investigative Committee.
