
The governor of the Murmansk region Dmitry Dmitrienko resigned. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
The corresponding decree of the president notes that Dmitrienko was dismissed of his own free will. The first vice speaker of the regional Duma Marina Kovtun will be temporarily fulfilling the duties of the head of the Murmansk region.
Dmitrienko’s resignation was predicted by experts of the St. Petersburg Politics Foundation. In addition to the governor of the Murmansk region, political scientists appreciated the “two” work of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Alexander Misharin, the head of Karelia Andrei Nelidov, the head of the Kostroma region Igor Slyunyaev, Nikolai Dudov from the Magadan region, the head of the Smolensk region Sergey Antufiev, the Governor of the Oryol Region Alexander Kozlov, Oleg Kovalev from the Ryazan Region and the Ryazan Region and Kaliningrad governor Nikolai Tsukanov.
