A rally of supporters of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, which was not coordinated with the authorities, took place on Saturday, April 7, in Ivanovo, a law enforcement source told Interfax on Sunday. As the agency's interlocutor noted, police detained eight participants of the rally.
“In Ivanovo, after an attempt to hold a picket that was not coordinated with the authorities, 125 supporters of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation proceeded along Lenin Avenue to Kokuy Boulevard, Leninsky District, where for 1 hour and 20 minutes they held a rally using sound amplification equipment, protesting against the socio-economic policy in the housing and communal services system carried out by the government Russian Federation," the source said. According to him, the rally participants were holding posters with relevant content.
“Police officers detained eight active participants, reports of administrative offenses were drawn up against them under Articles 19.3 and 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
