Syria with a human face
Last October, 2011, we - me and my two friends, with whom we were graduating from the Faculty of Journalism - took a hitchhiking trip through five countries. From Moscow - south, through Georgia, Turkey and Syria to Jordan, as well as Lebanon or Israel. We spent the longest time, two weeks, in Syria, which by that time had already been engulfed in civil war for a long time, but the bloodshed had not yet reached the scale it is now. The main places of deployment of pilgrims from Russia Anton Semikin, Elena Kiryushina and Larisa Matthijssen were the largest cities of the country - Aleppo and Damascus. We also lived for three days in a Bedouin settlement. The plot “Syria with a Human Face” is the fruit of our voyage.
