The UEFA President made a corresponding statement yesterday at the opening ceremony of the terminal at the new Lviv airport. “It’s annoying that a lot of work goes down the drain. Large sums of money were invested, and suddenly it turns out that people cannot afford the trip because of bandits and thieves who decided to make money on Euro 2012!” said Mr. Platini. This is very worrying. I believe that local authorities should take measures to regulate these processes."

There are less than two months left before the start of the tournament, which Ukraine is holding jointly with Poland. Concern is growing due to the activities of hotel owners in the four cities of Ukraine that will host the championship matches. “You can’t just change the room rate from €40 per day to €100, and then to €500. The UEFA President also asked the authorities to pay attention to the contractual obligations of hotels under agreements signed earlier, before prices increased.
