Julian Assange's current-toe show, the founder of WikiLeaks, will be aired on the Russia Today on April 17. This was reported by the press service of the channel on Friday.

According to RIA Novosti , the World Tomorrow program The World Tomorrow will be aired simultaneously on three RT channels in English, Arabic and Spanish. Filming the program is held in London, where Julian Assange has been under house arrest for more than a year.

The guests of the founder of Wikileaks will be persons who, in his opinion, will form a agenda tomorrow. “These are people who are usually not allowed to speak publicly. Most of what they told me, they could not tell on the mainstream channels, ”Assange explained.

At the same time, the editor-in-chief of the television channel Margarita Simonyan added that the first guest of the program will be such a person, "because of which, I will not be surprised, if particularly ragged hawks, who respect freedom of speech, will demand to close us."

The fact that Assange will launch his own show on Russia Today became known back in January 2012. As reported, initially, for the release of his project, he considered only two television channels - RT and AI Jazeera - but chose the first, as it is better represented in the United States.

The Wikileaks website, specializing in the publication of secret materials, was opened in 2006. The resource received worldwide fame in 2010, when, with a difference of several months, he published secret documents about the operation in Afghanistan, the Iraqi dossier, as well as the confidential correspondence of American diplomats.

In the United States, an espionage case was initiated against Assange, and at the end of 2010 it was arrested in the UK. Nevertheless, the London court considers the issue of his extradition to Sweden, where the founder of Wikileaks is accused of raping two women.

Assange himself considers the case against him fabricated. According to him, the United States who seek to stop the publications of their secrets in WikiLeaks are behind his criminal prosecution.
