This music blurs the boundaries of everyday life, penetrates into the essence itself, sets it up onto another wave, creating a sense of a constant holiday. Over time, the passion for rock and roll becomes quieter and turns into quiet affection: you dress more modest, but the music will remain in your head forever.

It all started with the fact that I listened to punk and did not think about rock and roll in its pure form at all. But dancing ... Oh, they conquered me. Every time I saw people dance to the music of the 50s, terribly envied and dreamed of learning the same. But I did not want to go to the courses and did not want to learn this artificially. The classic sound of rock and roll was formed in the mid-50s, when Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Fats Domino and Bill Haley appeared on the musical stage. His famous song "Rock Around the Clock" conquered resolutely at one time.

In the mid-1950s, several varieties of rock and roll appeared in the south of the United States, the most popular of which is Rokabilly. This musical direction has become fashionable thanks to Elvis Presley, who began to perform rock and roll with pronounced elements of country and blues. Elvis became not only a symbol of this musical genre, but also an icon of style for many of its adherents.

As far as I remember, I always adored Elvis! From early childhood, when dad put the records, I was fascinated by his magical voice and brought Rock-n Roll rhythm to the complete delight of the rhythm. Dad had many wonderful records-since his service in Cuba in the 60s. I liked Jerry Lee, Pat Bun, and Paul Anka, and Tom Jones ... But, of course, Elvis is the main love for life. Already much later, after school, when I started the Internet in my house, I decided to look for like -minded people. So I got to the first concert - it was the RAWCATS'88 group. I was very impressed by the atmosphere of friendliness and positive in the hall. And most importantly, I found out that rock and roll is a real, authentic, taking its roots in the distant 50s, in general, as I love him, is really alive. Moreover, both in our states, and in Europe, where thousands of fans of this musical genre go every year and gather annually! For me, rock and roll is, first of all, a good mood and positive emotions. In our life, where there is a lot of grayness and problems, music should bear joy and positive .

By the beginning of the 60s, Rock and Roll was on the path of self-style. It was possible to save the musical genre thanks to The Beatles, which brought new fresh ideas to rock and roll.

Since the late 70s, a revival of mass interest in classic rock and rolls and Rocabilly began. In 1975, thanks to The Cramps group, another variety of direction is included in fashion - the so -called Saikobilli. This genre of rock music combined the expression and aggressiveness of punk rock with a country of country and Rocabilly melody. Most groups of this genre in their texts exploit the afterlife and fantastic themes. The style of the clothes of people who are seriously interested in Saikobilli is something between the fashions of the panka and the hobbillers: the heavy boots Dr.Martens, narrow jeans, leather or club jackets, "Elvis hairstyles" with baked temples and the back of the head, as well as a large number of tattoos, rings, badges, etc.

In 2005, I closely contacted bikers (even at Outlaws Mc Russia), went mostly to rock clubs, went to all sorts of "invasions" and festiva outdoors. By this time, teenage enthusiasm for Russian rock came to naught. Somewhere in June 2007, I read on the forum of the Tarakans group about the opening of the Rock-N-Roller Pittens of the Bop Street and at the same time at the same time, on the advice of a friend, I first went to rock and roll pub. Our group Alligators just performed there. I really liked the atmosphere: twilight, proper music plays from a small scene. And the audience is the most incredible: rockbiles, psychos with incredible hairstyles, bikers, “right” guys, football hooligans, bug and Lindikhop dancers, reconstruction lovers. I was imbued. As for the style of clothing, it is usually jeans made of heavy denim (best Levis Vintage Made in USA, the longer, the better, the better, because the length allows you to make steep gateways), American pilot or club jackets (Club Jacket/College Jacket), white T -shirt or shirt with turned off their sleeves (usually in the sleeves (usually in A cage or black with pockets and small prints, but in the summer - with Hawaiian motives), various accessories, leather boots or boots of Red Wing or Chippewa firms. Well, of course, haircuts laid down by Briolin, of which there are several options. Hairstyle is the highest indicator of attachment to culture, although in our time everyone is cut almost the same. In addition, old -time color tattoos became especially popular, both among guys and girls.

Once I accidentally hit the club and saw just a fantastic sight: the whole dance floor was full of bright colors of the costumes of dancing steam. It was indescribably beautiful, and I could not remain indifferent, caught fire. The image of girls is inspired by the feminine style PIN UP: all sorts of incredible styling and hairstyles decorated with flowers and miniature hairpins, black arrows in the eyes, red label lipstick. The appearance, of course, is important, but the main thing is music. For me, Rocabilly and Rock-n Roll are enthusiasm, great mood, special energy, continuous dances and fun.

The main thing in the image of rock and rolling girl is lightness and grace. Inner femininity in the history of world culture was best able to emphasize precisely in the 50s. Since childhood, I loved to watch my grandmother’s photos, sort out her things that delight me. So the first thing is to rummage in old chests and see what wonderful things they wore then. Surely everyone has such a chest. Personally, I have many dresses, skirts, bags and accessories from there.

From the moment of its appearance to this day, rock and roll from the musical and dance direction has become a solid conservative worldview concept. Now it is a kind of lifestyle, diverse and attractive. The adherents of this style have its own special, separate world, which has its own radio stations, hit parades, magazines, festivals, clubs.

And it would be happy if they were aware of it. There are several people in the city who periodically organize some events. These are both concerts of local groups, as well as national teams involving groups from abroad. Elvis Presley and Rock-n Roll, who is already this Friday, will necessarily celebrate. I also make such parties and try to be interesting for a wide range of potential spectators. Representatives of Rokabilly love concerts more, and the format of thematic parties like ordinary people who want something non-trivial. So at one time Woogie Nights appeared in the Solyanka club (parties in the style of the 50s), which were very popular.

I learned about the musical style in 2007. Then I began to listen to Saikobilli and Rokabilly. In the same year, I met the guys who brought me to the first concert in Rock and Roll Pab, which at Proletarskaya. Actually, this place was the main platform for the parties of the Rocabilles and Saikobill. There were concerts of both Russian and foreign groups. In April 2010, the pub was closed. His heir was Briolin, whose creator, Misha Palitsky, opened another place - the Ocean. Also, concerts often took place in the XO club, now it is also closed. For me, rock and roll, in fact, lifestyle. I can’t imagine Rokabilly without dancing, and always paired. Therefore, when she became interested in this style, she immediately went to study dancing. First, at the Bugi-Wuhi school, then she threw classes and continued at concerts and parties in the RNB (Rhythm End-Blue) cafe on Novoslobodskaya or in bilingual on pure ponds.
