UN Councils approved a draft resolution on Syria

The UN Security Council on Saturday unanimously approved the draft resolution on Syria, announced the chairperson of the US Permanent Representative to the UN Susan Rice.

At the request of the UN specialist and LAG COVO COFI, the UN Security Council authorized the deployment of an advanced group in Syria in the amount of up to 30 unarmed military observers, which should "establish contacts with the parties and begin to report on the fulfillment of the conditions of complete cessation of armed violence in all its forms until the deployment of the mission."

SB called on the "Syrian government and all other parties to ensure that the advanced group is able to fulfill its functions" and guarantee its safety "without prejudice to freedom of movement and access," ITAR-TASS reports.

The Council appealed to the UN Secretary General with a request to "immediately report to him about any interference" that could be repaired "Effective work of the group," and submit to the UN Sub. A report on the implementation of this resolution no later than April 19, 2012.

Russia, which previously blocked all resolutions on Syria that they tried to lead through the UN Security Council, announced that the present was satisfied with it. Western countries sharply criticized Russia and China for the vesting of resolutions in the Council of Council of Council of People's Commissars, noting that the lack of a single position of the world community helps to continue the bloody conflict in the country.

Among the UN observers, who in the near future will go to Syria, a Russian officer will enter, Vitaly Churkin said on Saturday at the UN. “Now we expect an urgent submission by the UN Secretary General in the Security Council of specific proposals for the launch of the Oonian supervisory presence,” said the Bermacial Representative of the Russian Federation.
