"Now we will go to the authorities up to the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights," Semenov said, commenting on the court decision.
The prosecutor demanded for Boyko four years in a general regime colony. The Investigative Committee accused Boyko under part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code ("Exceeding officials committed using violence and special funds"). The maximum punishment under this article is 10 years of prison. The state prosecutor believes that the defendant’s fault is fully proved, but noted that the former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has a mitigating circumstance - he raises a small child.
