Puttings. Church version.

Russian Orthodox Christians will come out for prayer on Sunday. In all the cathedrals of the country, prayer services will be held in defense of the faith from “blasphemous acts” that began with the action of the punk group Pussy Riot.

Even if the organization of “putings” reeked of propaganda, they were at least explained by the elections and the extreme need to show the world the presence of a “large number of supporters” for at least the formal legitimacy of the government.

Gundyaev’s standing and praying are more like hysteria and an attempt to strengthen his importance in the eyes of the dumbfounded and increasingly loudly indignant flock. And at the same time, once again appeal to the authorities, saying that we are one whole, with the same principles, attitudes and with very similar personnel.

But if the “putings” marked a social split, contrasting Uralvagonzavod with network hamsters, then political strategists in robes went further, drawing the line along religious lines. Everything is used: transporting people by bus, a religious procession led by the patriarch, and religious artifacts, such as a nail from a crucifix and an icon with traces of bullets.

“Putings” and “Gundyaings” are united by one ominous slogan: He who is not with us is against us. And this is no longer buffoonery, but very real extremism. And if the authorities were still able to stop and extinguish the growing mutual aggression, knowing full well how bloody it could end, then the greedy and cynical “servants of the Lord” are hardly capable of this, because they are very similar to madmen playing with gasoline and matches in a tightly closed indoors.
