And here are what the residents of the settlement of Yakhrengi of the Podosinovsky district of the Kirov region write:
The village is dying.
We, the inhabitants of the Yakhreng settlement, forced us to make an open letter a catastrophically worsening situation in all spheres of the life of the village and the surrounding territories.
Yakhrenga is declining: the population is reduced, social infrastructure collapses, the construction of production and social facilities is not conducted, school and kindergarten are empty, sports and cultural life fades.
The most powerful potential is once one of the best not only in the area, but also in the region, the Mayak collective farm is mediocrely turned into nothing.
Since the summer, sewage drains from apartment buildings flow along the central street of the village, water supply, laid in the 70-80s, which is used by all the villagers, on the verge of accident rate, and this is fraught with all the inhabitants to leave without water.
The existing unique object - a sports complex with a swimming pool does not work, abandoned. The school was overwhelmed, the house of culture, due to the lack of repair of the roof, is also predisposed to destruction.
The heads of the district and the supervisory authorities, seeing all this, retain calm and neutrality, and in the oral appeals of the inhabitants, one answer from them: "We are not entitled to intervene in the activities of the collective farm and the administration of the rural settlement, this is not included in our competence."
We are talking about the prospect of the lives of hundreds of people, about the preservation of the territory of residence.

According to the 2010 census, 976 people lived in the settlement. About 900 people now live. These are two pictures, two views, two reports on the same reality. The question "Who looks deeper and wider at the surrounding life?" Future President V. Putin? The current governor N. Belykh? Vyatka peasants living on earth?
