Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk Region adopted amendments to ban the propaganda of homosexuality among minors. The relevant amendments were made to the regional laws "On the Protection of Children's Rights" and "On Administrative Offenses in the Novosibirsk Region", Interfax reports. The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Education, Science, Sports and Youth Policy, Alexander Ilyushchenko, representing the bill at the session, said that, first of all, the amendments will affect "all kinds of gay parades." “As such, there is no frank propaganda, but we are talking more about popularization, about the conduct of them where minors can be located,” Ilyushchenko specified. “It is about the fact that most people who are not related to homosexuality should be protected from explaining to their children, in particular, that this is also within the framework of which.”

So, in accordance with the adopted amendments for such “propaganda”, citizens will be fine in the amount of 1 thousand to 3 thousand rubles, officials - from 3 thousand to 5 thousand rubles, and legal entities - from 10 thousand to 50 thousand rubles. These amendments will act before the adoption of the relevant federal law, Ilyushchenko added.

Earlier it became known that the bill on the prohibition of the propaganda of homosexuality was submitted to the State Duma. Its initiator was the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk Region. "The propaganda of homosexuality accepted a wide scope in modern Russia," the explanatory note to the document says. According to the initiators of the bill, propaganda is distributed through the media and the "active holding of public actions."

On April 25, the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg adopted an appeal to the State Duma with a proposal to tighten the punishment for the public approval of pedophilia. The initiator of the appeal was the chairman of the Legislative Committee on the Legislation Vitaly Milonov, the author of the first Russian law on the prohibition of propaganda of homosexuality and pedophilia. "

At the suggestion of Milonov, the State Duma must make a number of amendments to the current Criminal Code, designed to seriously tighten the criminal punishment for any public manifestations that approve of sexual intercourse with persons under 18 years of age. Currently, the Criminal Code does not have an article establishing a punishment for such "public manifestations." Milonov explained that there are a lot of such “approval” on the Internet. On social networks, he said, there are entire groups and communities in which they call for a decrease in the age of consent to sexual intercourse even up to 12 years. Milonov is convinced that the approval of his initiative by deputies of the State Duma will significantly reduce the number of crimes against the health and inviolability of children.

On March 30, the law on the prohibition of propaganda of homosexuality and pedophilia among minors entered into force in St. Petersburg. According to RIA Novosti, this was reported in the Committee on the Legislation of the Legislative Assembly of the city.

According to the text of the law, public actions aimed at promoting soudy, lesbianism, bisexualism, transgenderness among minors entail an administrative fine for citizens in the amount of 5 thousand rubles, for officials - 50 thousand rubles, for legal entities - from 250 thousand to 500 thousand rubles.

The bill caused a wide public outcry in both Russia and the world. In March, the founder of the St. Petersburg human rights organization for the rights of sexual and gender minorities Nikolai Alekseev filed a lawsuit to protect honor and dignity to the author of the law, deputy of the city parliament Vitaly Milonov.
