The public organization "Officers of Russia", which previously supported the All -Russian Popular Front (ONF), decided to create its own, loyal authority, supporting Putin. Presumably it will be called the "defenders of the Fatherland."
As the chairman of the organization Nikolai Sobolev told Izvestia , the party’s electorate is people who want to vote for the military, and refuse to support everyone else. ” Sobolev said that in the regions there are people who believe that the military "sincerely approach the solution of problems and will help."
The ideology of the future party is based on patriotism, the education of youth, the family, the Russian model of education, faith and spirituality. In addition, officers will fight for social housing, an increase in the population in small cities, the revival of the TRP program (“ready for work and defense”), as well as for only those people who have served in the army go into power.
The party does not set the task of fighting for power in the Kremlin, the inspirer emphasized, who expects to collect about 100 thousand people.
The initiative has already been supported by some United Russia, but some political scientists indicate possible problems with registration, as the legislation prohibits creating parties on a professional basis.
