Arrest in the temple

Yesterday my friend Olga Shalina was arrested. Center E operatives detained her in the Chertanovo district of Moscow in a church where she had come for the christening of her nephews. This event went unnoticed. Everyone preferred to discuss the release of political prisoner Sergei Mokhnatkin’s cat.

Meanwhile, there will be no trial of Olga; she will immediately go to a pre-trial detention center, and from there to a colony. On December 23, 2011, Judge Yulia Chernikova of the Chertanovsky District Court of Moscow changed Olga’s suspended sentence to three years in prison. At that time, almost no one noticed this event either. The entire “opposition” elite was in anticipation of the next rally of many thousands.

Olga Shalina was on the federal wanted list for five years in connection with the Tagansky case . Then, in 2006, times were turbulent. Youth organizations nurtured in the presidential administration tried to start a street war. In Moscow and the regions, attacks on the National Bolsheviks were regularly carried out.

On April 13, the National Bolsheviks repelled an attack by activists of the “Local” movement near the Tagansky Court. The attackers were detained and handed over to the police. However, the case was brought against the National Bolsheviks. Seven people received various prison terms, and Olga Shalina was put on the federal wanted list.

In the spring of 2011, Olga voluntarily came to the investigator and was sentenced to 3 years probation with a probationary period of 4 years. Center “E” was not happy with this outcome of the case. In less than a year, Shalina was illegally detained three times for administrative reasons - an illegally parked car, crossing the road outside a zebra crossing, etc. In December 2011, inspector Daiva Egorova, under pressure from Center “E,” filed a petition for arrest in court. Despite the fact that in none of the administrative cases the court decision entered into legal force, the suspended sentence was replaced with a real one. Olga did not appear at the sentencing.

Now she will have to spend three years in prison. So this matter went unnoticed. At first everyone was euphoric from the mass rallies. Now, when everything possible has already been wasted, they prefer to discuss the fate of the prison cat. And we have a new and, I’m sure, not the last political prisoner.
