Our fellow countryman-Yuzhnouns, the leader of the Russian noble assembly, Prince Grigory Gagarin is re-elected for a second term. For the first time in Russian history, the representative of the periphery twice at the congresses was trusted by the actual members of the RDS.
This was preceded by a difficult situation. Last year, at the XIV Congress, they already tried to choose the leader for three years. However, then two -thirds of the votes, as it should be according to the charter, Gagarin could not be recruited. He was instructed to fulfill duties with the condition of the United Congress after a year. Recall, his excellency Rurikovich. He has been heading the Union of descendants of the Russian nobility since May 2008, since then the regions have been actively supporting it. During this time, a qualitative leap in development has been made, contacts with many government agencies have been established. For contribution to fruitful cooperation between the RDS and the Russian Orthodox Church, Gagarin was awarded the high church award of the Order of the Holy Prince Daniel of the III degree.
Gagarin’s main competitor, candidate from the Moscow Noble Assembly, Mr. Sapozhnikov, withdrew his candidacy. Apparently, for health reasons, this is an elderly person, says Oleg Vygovsky, a participant in the XV Congress, the leader of the Chelyabinsk noble assembly. Nevertheless, the situation was quite complicated. 101 delegate, 71 votes were given to the prince. If it would be four votes less, I would have to convene a congress again after a while. On the eve of St. Petersburg, Grigory Grigoryevich met with Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna. At the congress, a representative of her office performed. Gagarin also supported Gagarin, obviously translating the will of the princess. After the election, the Chelyabinsk noble assembly presented the leader of the medal dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Russian statehood. And at the congress there were many interesting reports about the war of 1812. The anniversary is very widely celebrated in the noble meetings of Russia.
In honor of this anniversary, the nobles, with the participation of famous historian professors, held a conference in Chelyabinsk. Oleg Vygovsky made the report “The History of one Portrait”, in which he spoke about his legendary ancestor-General, the Hero of the War of 1812. And one more good news. The number of actual members of the Chelyabinsk noble assembly increased by four people. These are youth. The nobles are actively attracted to their ranks of descendants. The Russian noble assembly should not age.
