The State Duma voted for the statement of Dmitry Medvedev Prime Minister. The procedure for his appointment by the head of government will be completed after President Putin signed the corresponding decree, RIA Novosti reports. 299 deputies voted for the appointment of Medvedev with the necessary 226 votes, 144 were opposed against, there were no abstained.

In accordance with the list of pounded voting, in the support of Medvedev, the deputies of the Esers Dzhamaladin Gasanov, Nikolai Lakutin, Leonid Levin, Igor Zotov and Alexei Mitrofanov voted.

The leader of the Fair Russia faction Sergei Mironov called on his colleagues consolidated to vote at the plenary meeting of the State Duma against the candidacy of Medvedev.
