
The head of the Central Election Commission Vladimir Churov, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, handed him the certificate of the head of state, Interfax reports.
"Let me give you a certificate. This, by the way, is the only document that certifies that you are the President of the Russian Federation," Churov noted.
Putin, in turn, thanked the head of the CEC and his subordinates. I know that it was not easy, hard work, and in difficult conditions of political work worked. But they coped with dignity and worked in full accordance with the law. Thank you very much, ”the head of state said.
He also noted that it is necessary to do everything in order to guarantee the rights, freedoms of Russian citizens, including electoral ones. In response, Churov in Armenian mentioned: "Yes."
Recall that on Monday Vladimir Putin officially took office of the President of the Russian Federation. He became the first head of the Russian Federation to occupy the presidential chair for more than two terms and the first president, whose term of office will be six years instead of the previous four.
