Leo to the governors?

In 1993, Leo Travnev was arrested for abduction of man and extortion. In the near future he can lead the Stavropol Territory

On May 2, the outgoing President Dmitry Medvedev dismissed the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Valery Gaevsky, and on May 4 the leadership of United Russia offered him three new candidates for the post of governor: the head of Pyatigorsk Lev Travnev, Minister of Industry of the region Dmitry Samatov and acting Governor Valery Gerenkov.

The president made a choice in favor of the latter. And in principle, he could appoint the governor and Travel. Journalists of a number of Stavropol newspapers called me on May 4, when the president only received an offer from United Russia.

Back in 1993, the future mayor of Pyatigorsk and the future candidate for Governors of Stavropol was arrested for abduction of man and extortion. In one case, the future leader of the gang of killers Valery Popov, convicted these days for life, was walking along with him. Then the case, transferred from the prosecutor's office of the city of Kislovodsk to court, disappeared without a trace, and Travnev was released.

Last year, the mayor of Pyatigorsk and the future candidate for governors Lev Travnev appealed to the rector of the Karachay-Cherkess Technological Institute with a request to give him a duplicate diploma in return for the allegedly lost. The rector in writing replied that they had no data on the student of Leo with injuries, and other officials of the institute confirmed in writing. And when an article was published about this in the “Stavropol reporter” under the heading of “Leo to the cage” the entire circulation of the newspaper, the people of the mayor of Pyatigorsk simply seized.

In the leadership of United Russia, all this apparently ignored and offered Lev Travnev to the post of governor of Stavropol. But the outgoing President Medvedev, apparently, was imbued with a great confidence in Valery Zereyenkov.

And Lev Travnev is still the mayor of Pyatigorsk and the head of the city branch of United Russia ...
