Sergey Udaltsov: After people began to go on the streets, the task was set - to detain leaders in the hope that everything would stop.
Alexey Navalny: The authorities are puzzled by the new tactics of walks in Moscow. Everything was born spontaneously. On May 7, someone called the Echo of Moskvy, “Full Albats” in which I played, and said that the audience in China-Gorod demand that I come. The authorities thought that after Bolotnaya it would end traditionally: riot police and arrests would frighten people. The opposite happened: despite the rain, people continued to go out. Then they decided to isolate the leaders. The decisions on my arrest and the arrest of Udaltsov were made by different judges, but they were issued with a difference of half an hour. It was clear that someone instructed the judges.
What makes people go out now?
S.U.: This is a reaction to events on May 6. People believe that the police tore off the authorized rally. After all, no one organized these festivities. I myself learned from the Internet that people gather in China-Gorod on May 7. No slogans, no posters. Navalny and I have been under arrest for the third day. Completely isolated. From here I can’t control the protest, but it continues.
AN: It turned out that no leaders decide anything. What is happening in Moscow is another, completely new format. This is the same self -organization of civil society that we have been waiting for so long. The police are now using new tactics - he does not touch anyone. The authorities think that everything will resolve.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of mass riots in Bolotnaya on May 6. You are still going on this case as witnesses. Do not be afraid that they will transfer to the status of the accused?
S.U.: I was taken for an interrogation on May 10, but it was interrupted due to a court session. Before the rally in Bolotnaya in my live magazine and on Facebook, people who offered to break through to the Kremlin wrote. I answered them that this was an agreed and peaceful event. I have not committed any criminal offenses. But if there is a political order and the investigation will be biased, then I would not cumber from anything. We know how false witnesses are found who say what was not, and a person is accused of crimes that he did not commit.
