Joined the protest celebration. The impression is restrainedly positive. The cops don't interfere. Almost. The atmosphere is calm. Few in number. Nice and kind students talk about good things. The guitars are ringing. Romantic songs from the times of developed socialism are performed. There are many lovers and young families with children. It's pleasing to the eye and heart.
As it should be, the positivity is curbed by a couple of well-groomed communists and several shabby “leftists”. Deja vu from a quarter of a century ago. "Kazan". A spontaneous “Hyde Park” in front of the Kazan Cathedral in the second half of the eighties. People is hanging out. Drunk with courage, critically discusses power. Only then it was bigger and more active.
We will not quickly go down this path again. At least these guys wouldn't get disappointed and break down.
