Meeting with Moscow writers - “control walk”

I attended the “control walk” event of Moscow writers. The impressions are very positive. But first I’ll say a few words about what kind of promotion this is.

After the stupid reaction of the authorities to the peaceful, I emphasize, peaceful, action of “protest festivities” of citizens, when riot police took away people sitting near the monument to the Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbayev on the boulevard ring because people were singing songs with a guitar and discussing the current state of affairs in country, Moscow writers decided to hold a “control walk” action, which consists of the following.

A writer must communicate with his reader - this is obvious, that’s why he is a writer. This is his job and direct responsibility. A group of writers, which includes Boris Akunin, Dmitry Bykov, musicians, in particular Makarevich, decided on Sunday to meet their readers on Pushkin Square and, after talking, take a walk to the Griboedov monument in spring Moscow. From one Alexander Sergeevich to another Alexander Sergeevich. What could be more natural and simpler? A writer should be inspired as often as possible, and such walks are necessary for this. Where else will a writer see the truth of life if not in the reviews of his readers. Soon we will see a lot of interesting things from Dmitry Bykov based on the results of the “control walk”. I'm sure of it. For this alone, it is worth going to this event. The purpose of the walk is to see the reaction of the riot police and the official authorities about whether it is possible for more than three people to walk the streets in Moscow, discuss problems and not be taken to jail.

The official authorities have the opposite view of the writers' walk. Well, everywhere there is a catch and provocation. Speaker of the Moscow City Duma V. Platonov wrote an extensive post on this matter in his LiveJournal.

Everything looks quite pitiful and unconvincing. The old song is that enemy spies want to stir up the situation with the money of the Washington Regional Committee; writers, although they are talented people, are still a little bit of scoundrels and enemy agents, because they follow the lead of their foreign enemies and unwittingly help in stirring up the situation. But the authorities will not let the situation get out of control, they will say a decisive NO to everyone who encroaches on stability in the country and the correct course pursued by the best man, the president, and similar “weighty” arguments.

Fair question. Where was Mr. Platonov and the Moscow City Duma all this time, when there were protests in Moscow from December to May. Or maybe there were some statements from the Moscow City Duma on the situation in the country? Let them be any: negative or positive for everything that is happening. No, why, it’s better not to interfere in anything. Why get involved? Most likely, Mr. Platonov was busy with legislative work for the benefit of our Motherland all these four months from morning to evening and he simply physically did not have time. May be. God is his judge, or rather, the man-president V.V. Putin as a superior boss.

The walk was just wonderful. About 10 thousand people came. I myself saw a column of people on the boulevard ring. But according to the Moscow police, there were probably no more than 500 people. I made a simple conclusion for myself. Official police data can be safely multiplied by ten - this will be the real number of citizens participating in the actions. I advise everyone to do this, you can’t go wrong.

Still, not everything is so bad in our country. Such concepts as kindness and simple human communication are not alien to our people. For the entire time there was not a single incident. There was practically no police presence during the procession. The atmosphere itself was spring and kind. At least here the authorities showed prudence, unlike Mr. Platonov, who sees an imperialist conspiracy everywhere.

After meeting with the writers, I came to the conclusion that it’s time for us, young, healthy, fair and active citizens, to get out of our normal apartments and communicate in real time. And start with yourself now.

Such events should be held regularly. People need to communicate and that's right. Over the past twelve years, we have lost the habit of communicating with each other, hoping that everything has already been decided for us. It's time to abandon this practice.

We have many problems in our city and they need to be discussed. Only when the problem is heard does it begin to be solved. That is why all authorities are so afraid of publicizing their activities. We probably need to start organizing the “Khimki Walk” event - this will help people get to know each other, problems and find ways to solve them. We need to think about the Khimki Walk.
