The administration of the Krasnodar Territory is studying the possibilities of increasing the volume of funding for the target program "Krasnodar - Capital Appearance" for a new five-year term (2013-2017), Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachev said during a meeting on the development of the Kuban capital last Monday, May 14, reports "Interfax" .
“For many years, Kuban and its capital were considered as a purely agricultural region. The main emphasis in development was on agriculture. In this regard, today we feel some disadvantage, since we have to do many things inherent in the appearance of a city with a population of over a million, practically from scratch,” — the press service of the city administration quotes the governor’s words.
Tkachev emphasized the importance of building new wide roads in the city with convenient interchanges, shopping malls, hotels, reconstruction of the airport, railway and bus stations - all that, in his words, “creates the preconditions for the influx of even greater investments both in Krasnodar and in the entire region."
