Chistye Ponds have been "cleaned up"

On May 15, 2012, the Basmanny Court of Moscow ordered the capital authorities and police to take measures to stop the opposition rally on Chistoprudny Boulevard. The court thus satisfied the claim of residents of nearby houses, dissatisfied with the organized “unrest” and demanding to stop the “public festivities”.

Fulfilling the court's decision, the police and riot police began “cleaning up” the territory at 5 a.m. on May 16. All participants who were in the Occupy Bay camp that morning were given five minutes to get ready, and then they politely but persistently began to push everyone out towards the metro.

Within 30 minutes, the Occupy Bay peaceful protest camp ceased to exist.
