On May 15, the Tuapse District Court began preliminary hearings in the case of damage to a fence illegally erected around the dacha of the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Tkachev, located in Blue Bay (the village of Bzhid). Members of the Ecological Watch council for the North Caucasus, Suren Ghazaryan and Evgeny Vitishko, are accused of damaging property.
The case is being considered by Judge Galina Avdzhi, the prosecution is represented by Deputy Tuapse Interdistrict Prosecutor Evgeniy Pilipenko. The defense was represented in court by lawyers Viktor Dutlov, Violetta Volkova and Marina Dubrovina, as well as defense attorneys Evgenia Chirikova and Nikolai Lyaskin.
The defendants and defense attorneys themselves categorically disagree with the charges brought against them.
At the first hearing, the defense filed 14 motions; to consider them, the prosecutor asked for a week's break in the hearings. The next court hearing will take place on May 22, 2012, at 11 a.m.
26 activists from different cities of Moscow, Krasnodar, Sochi, and Tuapse came to support the accused.

While the trial was taking place in the courtroom, employees of the Tuapse and regional administration staged a provocation. A certain citizen Butov, who was identified by Tuapse residents, punctured the tires of a car parked near the courthouse, belonging to one of the activists who came from Krasnodar.
After this, Butov tried to escape from the crime scene in a car from the administration of the Krasnodar region. The guys rushed to catch up with the car and blocked its path, as a result of which Yabloko party activist Igor Kharchenko was hit. The guy managed to avoid serious health consequences; he escaped with only bruises thanks to his extraordinary dexterity and reaction.
Soon they found the car that hit Igor thanks to CCTV footage.
The Hyundai Sonata car with license plate (K006МХ 93) belongs to an employee of the Tuapse district administration, Dmitry Gennadievich Glazyrin.

Law enforcement officers and traffic police were analyzing the details of this accident.
However, they soon announced that the driver of the car only faces an administrative offense, since he claims that he did not hit anyone, but was attacked himself. Just a few meters from the place of provocation at the time Butov committed the crime there were 2 police patrol cars (patrol service). Law enforcement officials did not react in any way to the crime committed, and when asked by activists to help find and detain the criminal, they responded: “It’s none of our business.”
Here is what Tuapse activists who had encountered his provocative actions previously said about Butov: Maxim Aleksandrovich Butov, born in 1978, unemployed. He is registered with drug control and was charged with fraud. Butov’s brother works as a police investigator, and his sister works as a secretary in the Tuapse court. Butov is “protected” by the deputy head of the Tuapse region, German Germanovich Apitin.
