Nine new criminal cases have been opened against Vologda anti-drug fighters

New criminal cases of corruption have been opened against the former deputy head of the Federal Drug Control Service for the Vologda Region and his subordinates, official representative of the RF Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin reported, Interfax reports.

According to him, the officers are suspected of accepting bribes, theft, acquiring property obtained by crime, and illegally selling drugs.

Thus, Markin said, 23 criminal cases of abuse of power, fraud, theft, robbery, storage and sale of drugs are currently being investigated against 11 employees of the Cherepovets interdistrict department of the Federal Drug Control Service, including the former head of the department.
