Yesterday there was just a massive crowd of people on Barrikadnaya - about two thousand for sure. In the evening, the cops pulled up and, as usual, according to their stupid cop habit, they drank water, food and money. They just walked up to the kitchen bench, picked it up and left.
Here the people could no longer stand it. The cops blocked the road. Those, according to their stupid cop habit, began to twist. And the people exploded. People stopped being silent. All this preaching about non-resistance to evil through violence has stopped working. A couple of days ago I wrote in the comments that we have only two options - either we resist when we are thrashed, or we don’t, and then we are just thrashed like dolls. And today the people have matured. He began to resist. They didn’t give up their own. They blocked the paddy wagon, started beating it, tore off the mirror, and punctured the wheels. They formed a chain around the paddy wagon, holding hands. The cop tried to drive, but people stood up to the car and wouldn’t let me in. Riot police came running and started pushing people back. People still didn't leave. The paddy wagon turned backwards onto Sadovoe. People rushed to block Sadovoe.
That's it, the time of silent sheep is gone. People began to act. The people are simply tired of this sheepish obedience. I'm tired of being screwed by whoever wants, how they want and for what they want.
This is exactly the feeling that I have seen many times in the army. When the grandfather, as usual, hands out socks to the most jacked-up last spirit to wash, and he, instead of meekly obeying, suddenly takes it and says, “I won’t.” That's all. There's nothing you can do about him here. You can kick a person with a bed frame, you can break his jaw with a stool, you can mock him as much as you like and as much as you like - that’s it, he won’t do it anymore. He has already straightened up. And you can’t bend it back again. He will no longer become an animal.
Today it was about the same. People stood up and said - that's it, we won't do it anymore. And they sent off the cops.
They say that paddy wagons were also being torn apart on Nikitsky today.
Zyalt writes some nonsense - “dispersal of the opposition camp.” Where does this defeatist vocabulary come from, why has it become so firmly embedded in the language? Why write about your victory in the language of defeat? What the hell is the dispersal of the camp, it was a dispersal of the cops. No one dispersed any camp - on the contrary, the cops were driven away from the camp. The mood is completely different. The people won today. They didn’t run from the cops, the cops ran from them. All they could do in the end was stand and bleat into megaphones: “citizens, remain calm, do not go out onto the roadway.”
But, it should be noted, there was clearly no order for a hard dispersal this time. Either they didn’t have time to get on the phone, or there were people standing around right in front of the American embassy - but this time the cops were definitely more confused. Even though ten paddy wagons came running.
People stood until nightfall. Then, when the metro closed, they began to disperse. But a couple of hundred spent the night in the camp.
I stayed too. The benches on Barrikadnaya are terribly inconvenient. A little more than a meter in length. Who will stay overnight, better take sleeping bags and foam - it’s quite comfortable on the ground. But warm clothes are required, the nights are still cool.
Around four o'clock it became completely cold. I even had an alarmist thought: screw it, I’d rather live under Putin. But with an effort of will and a blanket given out for painting, the thought was driven away.
At five in the morning the cops started to feel a pain in their ass again. They started raising people up with idiotic demands not to sleep on the asphalt. But it’s already quite sluggish.
By this time the camp had already begun to wake up. They began handing out breakfast - this time a glass of milk and a couple of sausage sandwiches. During the distribution, it turned out that the cops had eaten almost all the sausage. Buy them a doctorate or something, God knows...
Then we did some exercises. Then those who wanted were given bags and they cleared the area to the last cigarette butt. They've licked it so well that you can probably eat from the ground now. Today this is the cleanest square in the city.
Then they held a meeting. Where it was decided to continue the same tactics - not to surrender our own, to block the paddy wagons, not to let them out of the crowd.
Then the first shift workers began to arrive and I went home.
That's it, wash and sleep.
PS: I'm sure there will be another round tonight. That's it, people woke up.
