On May 19, the international forum "Faith and business" will open in Moscow. He will collect Orthodox youth from around the world for the sixth time in the Russian capital. A single discussion platform will enable participants in the meeting to discuss the current problems of the Church and Society and better know about each other's lives. This was told today at a press conference in Moscow, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Georgy Muradov.
"Our task is to give the representatives of the Orthodox youth of Russia and the abroad to communicate with each other, to discuss the urgent problems of the development of the world and society. The world lives in the era of complex challenges, including Orthodoxy," said Muradov, whose words are quoted by ITAR -TASS.
He said that Rossotrudnichestvo is preparing to meet delegations from the USA, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Representatives of Poland, Moldova and Bulgaria also submitted applications for participation in the forum, said Vadim Kvyatkovsky, deputy chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs. "The forum is expanding, it becomes better known in the circles of Orthodox youth. For the first time this year, a delegation from Montenegro will come to the forum," he said.
As for the Russian Orthodox community, the leaders of Orthodox youth from all federal districts of the country will be connected to the discussion. “Most of the guys will be from Moscow - from all metropolitan parishes, and there are about 300 of them,” Kvyatkovsky noted.
The Chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, Bishop Ignatius, sets the forum as "propaganda of values such as love, peace, justice, civil activity, patriotism - all the good that always existed in the hearts of our people." “It is very important that young people, coming to the temple, measure their lives with these values,” the clergyman emphasized.
In addition to participation of guests in the forum, an extensive program of acquaintance with the city is planned. “Orthodox youth will also participate in a number of worship, including those that Patriarch Kirill will make. They will visit various departments, as well as universities that deal with theology,” Muradov said.
The International Youth Forum "Vera and the case" will be held in Moscow from May 19 to 21. 11 discussion sections will work, a special place will be given to issues of the parish life of Orthodox youth.
