Employees of the riot police near Moscow blocked the entrance to the forest of a group of residents of Zhukovsky, dissatisfied with the cutting of the Tsagovsky forest. According to Interfax , the residents of the city near Moscow on Saturday decided to hold a popular gathering and discuss the situation that developed with the cutting of the Tsagovsky forest for the construction of the Ural M5 highway.

They gathered near the administration building, after which they moved in a column around the city, singing songs. More than 150 people participate in the procession.

In the square in front of the city hall building, activists protecting the forest wanted to install a tent, but the police did not allow this. Having taken the tent, the gathered moved in the center, passed almost the entire city up to the forest, the plot of which was cut down for the construction of the road. Police officers explain to activists that it is impossible to be in the forest, since the city has introduced a fire regime. According to the documents of the city administration signed for cutting down, the forest in the city does not appear and the shrub stands were cut down. Based on this, residents demand to let them into the forest. In front of the inhabitants, two lines of the fighters of special forces lined up.

The authorities promised instead of cutting up 12 hectares of forest to plant more than 30 hectares of new green spaces.
