The NATO summit is held in Chicago

In Chicago, the NATO summit is held, the main topic of which this time is related to the withdrawal of international troops from Afghanistan.

The purpose of the participants in the discussion is to develop a single position on issues related to the completion of the transfer of responsibility for security in Afghanistan from foreign military to local government forces.

Last week, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogg Rasmussen said that the North Atlantic Union, in his opinion, should continue the preparation of employees for Afghan security services after 2014, when the country was left by NATO units.
