Ukraine banned smoking on Euro 2012

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine forbade smoking, selling and advertising cigarettes at Euro 2012 events. More than two -thirds of deputies voted for such a ban, Interfax reports.

“Any advertising of tobacco products, advertising signs for goods and services, other objects of intellectual property law, under which tobacco products are produced, is prohibited,” the law says.

European football champion will be held from June 8 to July 1. Two countries accept it - Ukraine and Poland. In each country, matches will be held in four cities. In Ukraine, these are Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkov and Lviv.
