Decree number one

Dear editors!

Watching the rotation of the tablets of history, you constantly come across funny, amusing and tragic repetitions of the same events. The classic taught that history repeats itself twice: the first time as a tragedy, and the second time as a farce. And, indeed, in history you can find a lot of examples of this, after all, the classic was not a fool, not a fool at all!

However, there are exceptions to the rules, even when the external similarity of events is striking. One of these exceptions happened before our eyes. Let's turn to the not so distant past.

In the ever-memorable year of 1991, the destroyer of the Union Boris Yeltsin began his activities as President of Russia under the guise of a wolf in sheep's clothing. In his first Decree, he decided: “To bring the average wages and official salaries to the level of: teaching staff of higher educational institutions - twice the level of average wages in industry of the RSFSR; teachers and other teaching staff - not lower than the average wage in industry of the RSFSR." It was assumed that the salary increase for professors and teachers would be carried out from January 1, 1992.

However, with the onset of the new year, our salaries went to hell along with the salaries of industrial workers and our entire great country. A bandit-democratic orgy began in Russia, and we, workers in higher and secondary education, became a poor and little-respected stratum of the population by the new Russians. All we could do was painfully make ends meet and listen on TV to Boris Nikolayevich working with documents at his dacha.

But all bad things come to an end, the era of decay and timelessness has come to an end. The Savior of the Nation and the National Leader took the reins of government into his hands, and stability and prosperity came. Russia has firmly taken the path of sustainable development of science, education, innovative economy, social sphere, etc., etc.

And so the grateful Russian people again enthusiastically elected Vladimir Vladimirovich as President of Russia. On May 7, immediately after ascending to the highest government position, the national leader issued a package of Decrees, opening up new prospects for development and prosperity for the country.

With trembling hands, I looked at these documents, and in one of them I read: “to ensure:

— bringing in 2012 the average salary of teaching staff in educational institutions of general education to the average salary in the corresponding region;

— increasing by 2018 the average wages of doctors, teachers of educational institutions of higher professional education and researchers to 200 percent of the average wage in the corresponding region.”

These provisions are reminiscent of Yeltsin’s decree, and other scoffers might recall the classic. They don't understand that there is an exception to the rule here. How can you compare a deliberately populist decree issued on the eve of the collapse of the country and the product of a thoughtful state policy that sets new guidelines for our well-being?!

I firmly know and believe that in just six years I will become a respected and well-paid specialist. And I know that this is the merit of one person, I know the name of this person. When all sorts of talk begins that someone has achieved something, they say, the scientific community has achieved an increase in funding from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, then I know that this is bullshit. The reason for the improvements is He, his All-Seeing Eye, which addressed this problem.

Therefore, if there is now a reason to remember the thoughts of the greats, then it will be another. Another statement of the same classic, whom I quoted at the beginning of the letter, is applicable to our life: everything that is real is reasonable, and everything that is reasonable is real.
