Undoubtedly, the most sensational in the formation of the new government was the appointment of Vladimir Medinsky Minister of Culture. The 41-year-old PR man and political strategist of United Russia and Putin’s confidant in the last election now, apparently, should become an all-Russian propagandist, turning the ministry into his mouthpiece. The ill -wishers of Dr. Medinsky even began to compare it with Dr. Goebbels.

Mr. Medinsky himself considers himself a historian and even defended his doctoral dissertation in June 2011 "The problems of objectivity in the coverage of Russian history of the second half of the XV-XVII centuries." The work of a significantly declared topic, because it only considers the works of foreigners. And the criterion of objectivity is very simple. If a foreigner writes about Russia and Russians only good - he is objective, and if bad, then it is subjective. The main conclusion of the study is to the innovative thesis that "the same source may contain both reliable and inaccurate information on various issues."

According to the historian Alexei Lobin, the dissertation of Medinsky contains “examples of scientific dishonesty, egregious amateurism,” and the dissertation itself is a “science -shaped surrogate at the level of the course (very voluminous) student of the first or second year.” At the same time, "Medinsky evaluates the source from the standpoint of his own ideas about the era and gives his subjective assessments for objectivism." Scientists suspected not without reason that the new Minister of Culture, contrary to his own assurances, did not turn to archival documents of the XVI-XVII centuries. Several bright phrases from the text of the dissertation are given: "The horse warriors that consisted of the Russian army could not run, they were supposed to ride"; "There were no ordinary soldiers in the Russian army, it consisted of nobles. In addition, the king did not wage long wars in winter."

Undoubtedly, Vladimir Rostislavovich applies the same method to the present. Numerous cases of plagiarism are found in the auto -recording of the dissertation. In the dissertation of Medinsky plagiarism, there are probably much more. But something tells me that our Higher Attestation Commission, unlike the Germans, who not only deprived the Minister of Defense of the degree convicted in plagiarism, but also forced him to resign, will not find fault with the new Minister of Culture. Indeed, in terms of plagiarism in the dissertation, the national leader himself is not without sin. Experts will say that independently written phrases are still a scientific contribution sufficient to award a doctoral degree. But now plagiarism in art can feel calm. The new minister is unlikely to touch them, remembering that you should not rush stones if you live in a glass house.

Medinsky claims: "The state can stand either on violence or on the voluntary unification of the society around the system of generally accepted and generally perplexing abstract values." In general, unite as soon as possible around the spiritual values ​​of my namesake Putin and his team, otherwise you will have to go to violence. The approach to history and culture by the new minister is announced in a software interview given shortly before the appointment:

"The power of the regime is determined not by the number of bayonets who are ready to kill for money, but by the number of people who are ready to die for this regime for free. And the willingness to die for an abstract idea - which, by the way, is the main difference between a person from an animal - is determined only by ideology. How is ideology formed? It stands on many whales, the main of which is the cultural code. It can be said that historical code is part of the cultural code. Culture is just a broader concept, we can call it civilizational values. "

I’m not sure that Vladimir Rostislavovich himself understands what was said to them. It is unclear how historical code can be part of the cultural code and why culture is equal to civilizational values. But the main idea seems to be visible. Culture exists only then to create an ideology, and ideology is needed so that millions of Russians are ready to go to death for Putin and Medvedev, for Surkov and Volodin, for Serdyukov and Patrushev, for Chubais and Gref, for Prokhorov and Abramovich, for Usmanov and Potanin ...

The story for the Minister of Culture is, by his own admission, “a policy overturned into the past”, an inexhaustible source of propaganda materials. Medinsky advocates the only true textbook of history, because it is better "better the state politicizes history than someone or a stranger state. It is impossible to let it go by chance." For schoolchildren in history, there should be "Pantheon of Heroes, referen points, axioms that you should know." It is easy to guess what heroes and what axioms. Heroes are those who acted to increase the power of the state, and axioms - that the state is always right, and are categorically wrong to state the state to its wrong.

According to Medinsky, its own truth, useful for moral education, was with Alexei Mikhailovich, and Peter the Great, and the Red and White. The Molotov -Ribbentrop Pact, according to Medinsky, is "this is a very timely decision, thanks to which we jumped all for half a corps on the turn."

Medinsky believes that in domestic history "at the level of education, canonical versions must be offered - the most suspended, as verified, as indisputable as possible." But the trouble is precisely that the “canonical versions” precisely cause the most fierce disputes and often turn out to be very far from the truth. The new minister sees the main goal of cultural policy in the restoration of "a single union space at least on the basis of the economic union with the maximum political integration of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan." That is, today, masters of culture should in every way promote Russian political and economic expansion in the post -Soviet space.

But the position in relation to those who adhere to another point of view on any question: "I do not even want to understand this Achynya, I do not want to clarify where what came from - I want to burn this nonsense." Well, it really looks like Goebbels. True, Goebbels was not only a war criminal, but also a gifted journalist, speaker and master of effective propaganda, who forced millions of Germans to die for the Fuhrer and Faterland. Vladimir Rostislavovich, of course, is not a criminal (until he began to burn the book), but the writer and propagandist he is also no and nobody, thank God, to die for Putin and "United Russia" does not sanitize.
