“Nazi marches” really were: before the rally of those who came, they entertained the theatrical performance with the participation of people in Guy Fox masks and prison robes, which were ranging the streets under the marches of the Third Reich era. The action symbolized the possible future of protesters if the State Duma adopted a new law on rallies, Ridus notes.
The leader of the Yabloko party, Sergei Mitrokhin, said that the inconsistency of the rally topic by the previously declared violation of the law: "Now the repressions begin, we were made a claim for the inconsistency of the topic of the rally, but we do not violate the law, and we continue the rally."
Earlier, at the rally, Mitrokhin criticized legislative amendments that tighten responsibility for violations on street shares. "The amendments contain a ban on any unauthorized mass meetings, but at the same time it is not prescribed which meeting is considered massive. In fact, two people can already be such a collection. A similar law acted in Norway from the times of the fascist occupiers, but it was said - more than five not to gather, and in fact, more than two do not gather," the leader of Yabloko said at the rally.
At the same time, he expressed concern about possible provocations at rallies, which could lead to supervision of exorbitant fines. “Provocateurs can specially come to a calm sanctioned rally who will arrange something that contradict these amendments, and then the organizers will be forced to pay huge fines, and the participants will be forced to go for compulsory work, although they did not do anything,” he predicted.
In his opinion, the proposed amendments initiated by United Russia are characteristic "rather, for a totalitarian than a democratic state."
At the end of the rally, Mitrokhin urged not to weaken political activity and continue to protest against the tightening of punishment for unauthorized street actions.
