Half of Russians entered the network

About half of the inhabitants of Russia use the Internet. About this with reference to the data from the Conference "Change Consciousness", where the representative of TNS Gallup Inessa Ishunkin spoke, writes media manager Anton Nosik.

According to the company, in April 2012, 70.8 million Russians over 12 years old used the Internet. Among adult citizens, the audience of Runet covers 64 million people. Two -thirds of users live in cities with a population of more than 100 thousand people. According to Rosstat, the population of Russia is over 143 million people.

In April, VTsIOM conducted a survey according to which two -thirds of Russians constantly use the Internet and this figure is constantly growing.

According to the forecasts of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications, by 2015, more than 70 percent of Russians will be on the Internet.
