The guard is tired

Still, those who believe that a person’s first and last name are reflected in his character and destiny are right. Whether it’s a coincidence or not, the revolutionary sailor Anatoly Grigorievich Zheleznyakov, who went down in history, has found a worthy replacement in our time in the person of Sergei Zheleznyak. Don't know who it is? This is a State Duma deputy, guess which party... Of course, from the same one that is fighting for the right to become the legal successor of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks in spirit, and not in the still living “brand” of the CPSU.

So, this wonderful representative of United Russia, who holds the post of head of the State Duma subcommittee on information policy, information technology and communications, came up with a brilliant idea: to give Russian law enforcement officers and “defenders” of the right citizens from their wrong fellow citizens not only rubber, but also virtual batons. In his opinion , “law enforcement officials should have the opportunity to delete messages or block the profiles of Internet users who spread calls for illegal actions.”

I don’t know how the sophisticated mind of this “prominent” political figure imagines in practice the whole process of tracking these same calls on the Internet? It’s also very interesting, who will do this? Ministry of Internal Affairs? Are riot policemen really going to be put in front of computers? It’s unlikely... the budget won’t support the daily replacement of keyboards and mice, that’s not what the riot police are trained for. That leaves the FSB.

I can imagine how, in addition to the burden of fighting terrorism, spying on foreign diplomats, businessmen, human rights activists and ordinary tourists, each employee will be assigned a dozen or so websites, which they will have to monitor, identify “calls for illegal actions”, enter into correspondence with website owners... In general, you won’t envy...

The next logical move would be a visit by some general to the “central Internet control center” and the historical phrase:

“ The workers don’t need your chatter.” I repeat: the guard is tired!

After which... no internet - no problem!

To be honest, as a citizen of Russia, I am already very tired of them...
