Let's take it as an axiom: cursed is the state in which people who are capable of acting not for the sake of personal interest - in the name of the common good, are doomed to be heroes. How many of your acquaintances are ready to question their material well-being and life comfort for the sake of what is called the common good? How many people on your Facebook friends list are willing to donate their personal time and money to help strangers in need? Or give up freedom? In today's Russia, there is a clear shortage of "heroes of our time." It is sad: to live in a society where you are constantly faced with the question - to remain a man, to preserve honor and act according to your conscience or to betray, passing by, because "this does not concern me."
