I do not agree that the Public Chamber is a useless institute for citizens. On the contrary, I experience a sense of great gratitude to them (and not only me, but another 54 families with disabled children). My daughter visits the "School of St. George", which the authorities tried to deprive the building and which we defended the whole world. A huge contribution to this case was made by a member of the Public Chamber Diana Gurtskaya, who held a meeting dedicated to the school in the chamber. The case received a great public outcry, as a result, our school was left alone and even provided the building for free use for 10 years. It is wrong to make a public chamber an instrument of political influence on power. It seems to me that you need to have some kind of body that will defend the interests of citizens, while not interfering with political life.
