“I can’t stand the government and mosquitoes,” says Sergey Mokhnatkin, the only one from the entire list of 34 political faces transferred by the opposition to the Kremlin was then freed by President Medvedev. How he lives, what the neighbors think about him, what is going to do next - The New Times went to the village of Ozerki of the Tver region, where Mokhnatkin was renting a room
“What kind of people our king does not have,” said one well -known literary critic and dissident who was sitting in Soviet times. - Not a single writer will come up with such a human fate that our intricate life presents us every day. Hollywood producers would be willing to pay thousands of dollars for each such story. ” And this is exactly about Mokhnatkina.
Layman
He walked along Tverskaya Street of the capital, in his hands - a package from the Dixie store, in it - a bottle of cognac "Moskovsky", three stars (410 rubles), a bank of red caviar (325 rubles) and a bottle of "champagne" (164 rubles) was December 31, about six o’clock in the evening. He had to enter the metro at the Mayakovskaya station, first get to Belorusskaya, then make a transfer and three more stations along the ring to Komsomolskaya station, sit on the train of the Leningradsky station: 2 hours to the Redkino station, then 7 km either by bus or by taxi (100 rubles). New, 2010, Mokhnatkin, like the last 20 years, was going to celebrate either in Golim Sonality or with the mistress of the apartment Lyudmila Georgievna (if she did not go to his son), from whom he is now renting a room.
On this day, like every 31st, like last week, on the Triumphal Square there was another action “Strategy 31”-for freedom of assembly and rallies * * Art. 31 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation reads: "Citizens of the Russian Federation have the right to gather peacefully without weapons, hold meetings, rallies and demonstrations, processions and pickets." OMON has already screwed people. Mokhnatkin, who was then 56, and he earned the money that he delivered pizza in Moscow, saw that the elderly woman * * Raisa Vavilova was then 72 years old. Two policemen are roughly dragging into a car zakak. What does a normal, normal Russian person do in such a situation, especially with the experience of Soviet life? That's right: it unfolds and is removed as soon as possible in the opposite direction. Mokhnatkin, as you know, stood up for a woman, he himself ended up in a car carrier, received under the ribs, answered ... two years and six months of a general regime colony. (Mokhnatkin was not previously convicted, and everyone waited for him to receive a conditional term in the worst case.) He did not admit his guilt or admit. I served almost two years, of which 55 days in a schizo (penalty area), a month in PCT (chamber type) and if it had not been pardon, I would have sat there until the end of the term. And all this for complaints about the leadership of the colony. He wrote a petition for pardon, and on April 23 this year, Medvedev, who remained 15 days of the presidential term, pardoned him. Until this story, Mokhnatkin has never engaged in politics and never and never participated in any protests.

A prison is an academy to increase the highest criminal qualifications: if the jailers themselves steal, then the convicts can be stealing; If the jailers, looking directly into your eyes, lie, then you can be convicted

For the 101st kilometer
The village of Ozerki is 140 km from Moscow: at the “scoop”, former sectors were sent there (this was called “for the 101st kilometer”), now they send homeless people. There are no attractions - except for dense forests around and a wild number of mosquitoes, which Mokhnatkin, according to him, hates - like the government. There is no work in the village: they go to Klin, Tver or Moscow to work. Mokhnatkin lives on Leninskaya Street, which is all built up with dirty red color with two -story, hut -type houses. In the courtyard there is a pile of burned wood, the remains of burned sheds: “They lie only six months,” says the neighbor in the house of Mokhnatkin, whom The New Times correspondent asked about the all -Russian fame of her house: “Yes, such a bearded peasant lived here, then it came back,” all that she knew about that about it about it about it. Mokhnatkina. "Have you heard anything about Sergey Evgenievich Mokhnatkin, whom the president had mercy?" - asked the author of a young guy who was busy in the garage. “I saw how television came to the house, and why - God news, we live here by itself,” the guy answered and continued to load firewood on his cart. In the grocery store, where, however, there is everything you need - wine, cereals, bread, chickens, sausage, etc., located five minutes from the house, the saleswoman about Mokhnatkin did not hear anything at all: “No, we don’t know.” In the lakes before landing, Sergei Evgenievich lived for two years - earlier he rented housing nearby, in Zavidov. His mistress, Lyudmila Georgievna, a biologist by profession, is 70 years old, she saw an ad at the station that a lonely man with a higher education wants to rent a room: he graduated from the Izhevsk Mechanical Institute with a degree in Economic Cybernetics. “Higher Education” decided the case: so Mokhnatkin settled in the ten -meter room of her three -room apartment. “Neat, decent, quiet, nonsense, guests do not lead,” says Lyudmila Georgievna. They sometimes talk about politics with Mokhnatkin: Lyudmila Georgievna is now constantly turning on “Echo of Moscow” - in fact, that then, on December 31, 2009, Mokhnatkin was detained, she learned from the Echo reports. And before, politics occupied her: in Soviet times, she listened to the “Freedom”, which was dumbfounded then and broadcasting from Munich, in the last parliamentary elections was an observer from Yabloko. For the Democrats, she says, eight people voted for the whole village - the Communists won: according to her, there were never demonstrations in the lakes - “Apolitical people”. She rented a room of Mokhnatkina after his landing, but she warned the tenants: he would return - they will have to look for another housing.
Introvert
Mokhnatkina in the colony Lyudmila Georgievna wrote letters-she is human rights activists: Sergei Evgenievich’s relatives are all in Izhevsk, the father is alive, the director of the music school, mother, a conductor-chorovik, died when Mokhnatkin was in a colony (“He called a distant relative and accidentally learned,” he said about how he learned about Konchina Mother), there is a younger brother, there is also a former wife, there are no children - Mokhnatkin did not want to report anything about his arrest and the deadline. He broke with his family for a long time. “I do not feel the need for contacts. I am a loner, an introvert, ”he said. But it is felt: there is some personal drama behind this, which Mokhnatkin did not want to talk about. Yes, even in the colony he was written by a widow from St. Petersburg, who read his story on the Internet: when he went out ofward, Mokhnatkin went to thank her, but he refused her to live with her. When asked why, he said: “I want to do business, for this I should be in Moscow: there are more opportunities for the implementation of my plans.” - "What?" “There are concrete ideas that need to be engaged in.” But categorically did not go into details. There is nothing superfluous in the room of Mokhnatkin: an iron bed covered with a blanket on top, two chairs, a dull Soviet brown desk, which lies a laptop, another coffee table - it has a printer on it. All. Invisible curtains, cacti in pots, walls are glued with wallpaper: neither photos nor pictures. There is no cabinet in the room either - in the corridor in front of the room the rope is stretched: shirts were dried on it. At the same time, Mokhnatkin is always very neat: a white shirt, white socks, a black suit, polished boots. On the belt - a black leather handbag for a phone. He has not yet settled down for work (in fact, a little more than a month has passed since he left the colony). The FSIN generously gave him his standard output allowance - 850 rubles. Plus, human rights activists helped.
Businessman
“I was engaged in a better business than my competitors,” says Mokhnatkin about my past life. We drink soluble coffee: “I can drink the Nescafe Bank in a day,” he brought two cups, an enameled white kettle, chocolate sweets and marmalade, and even pancakes with cottage cheese herself. He brought a bottle of Bulgarian red wine. All the time we said, Mokhnatkin smoked in the window - "I can’t live without a smoke." Mokhnatkin was engaged in business in Izhevsk in the 1990s: first fruits and vegetables, then sold non-ferrous metals abroad-a non-excess of military plants (in Soviet times, Izhevsk was one of the centers of the Soviet military-industrial complex), was accused of smuggling, but the case did not come to the court-“he fought back thanks to a good lawyer” (it was 1994), then he resolved the Belgian Belgian Brick mini-lands-burned out, tried to “rise” and, finally, in 2004 moved closer to Moscow. From Izhevsk, there was a “Russian scientific society” registered there and business cards with the profile of Einstein. Without money - he pushed in search of work and got a job as a pizza fork in the capital: “I only came to the apartment here for the apartment, in the morning - on an electric train and dumping in Moscow.” And then it was the same on December 31, 2009.
ZEK
When the judge of the Tver court of Moscow Alexander Kovalevskaya announced his sentence - two years and six months, Mokhnatkin was stunned: he announced a hunger strike in Butyrki in protest. He sat in IK-4 in the ancient Torzhok Tver region: there he first worked as a head of the IR school, but then conflicts began. Mokhnatkin wrote complaints that they were stealing at school, that no one was watching that the prisoners are not attended by classes, that his medical documents were gone. “The Federal Penitentiary Service resists any information about what is happening inside the zone,” he says. I did not receive answers to my complaints, the prosecutor’s office did not answer him either (“the prosecutor’s office is a roof for the colony,” he says), but he earned a penalty that cut off his right, plus four times in a schizo, and met a pardon in the PCT. The petition for pardon to President Medvedev wrote on the advice of a lawyer, who was found for him by the leader of the “For Human Rights” movement Lev Ponomarev. He did not hope for liberation: he never admitted his guilt. And the characteristic of it was most likely bad. “For some reason, the head of the colony began to talk with me on political topics, said:“ Human rights defenders are the CIA agents, ”says Mokhnatkin. And summarizes its two -year imprisonment: “A prison is an academy to increase the highest criminal qualification: if the jailers steal, then the convicts can be stealing; If the jailers, looking directly into your eyes, are lying, then you can also convicts. ”
Oppositionist
Leaving the colony, after 11 days, on May 6, he came to the “Million March”. On May 8, he was detained on China-Gorod, near the monument to the heroes of Plevna. He was kept for several hours in the police department and released. “I want to contribute to the destruction of this regime,” he says now. In addition to business, the department of the movement “For Human Rights” is going to open in the Tver region - he wants to fight for the rights of the prisoners. He himself had already filed a lawsuit against the Torzhok court: he intends to challenge his punishments Shiso and PKT. He is no longer afraid of prison.
