
The wife of the former Moscow mayor Elena Baturina is going to come to Russia in the near future to give testimony as part of a criminal case of embezzlement at the Moscow Bank. This was reported by Interfax with reference to a source in Russian law enforcement agencies. Now Austria has already been informed about the call of Baturina for interrogation.
Now the execution of documents that will guarantee the safety of Baturin during its stay in Russia is being completed, the interlocutor of the agency said. Thus, she cannot be detained or arrested.
Meanwhile, the official representative of the wife of the ex-mayor of Moscow, Gennady Terebkov, said that the position of the entrepreneur on this issue remains unchanged. “As already reported, Baturina will definitely come to Moscow for testimony when receiving issued in accordance with Russian laws and the norms of international call right,” the lawyer said.
