Photo: ITAR-TASSFormer presidential candidate Mikhail Prokhorov announced the creation of the Civil Platform party. The party will consist of 500 people - professional lawyers and regional activists. There will be no ideology and leader in the "Civil Platform".
“The only goal of this political party is to keep a license to allow the leaders of civil society to go to the polls, because the current political system is not the one in which we would like to work,” Prokhorov explained, who himself is not going to join the “civil platform”. "We are all non -partisan. It will be a party that gives a ticket to active non -partisan citizens," Prokhorov said.
Prokhorov was already trying to participate in the party’s party life. In June 2011, he unexpectedly headed the party’s party, but already in September announced that he was leaving due to conflict with Vladislav Surkov. Prokhorov advised the supporters to follow his example and called the “right -hand business” “The Puppet Kremlin Party” in parting.
PublicPost found out whether Prokhorov will hold on to the "civilian platform".

This is not a party, of course. This is one of the political instruments called the party. This tool can be used for registration, for example. Prokhorov will not develop their political resources not along the party line. Prokhorov will follow the path of a wide socio-political coalition.
I believe Prokhorov acts competently, but inactive. To participate in the competition of small parties is a dead end. Rather, he wants to unite supporters of all opposition liberal parties. We do not know whether the opposition will go to him or not. If they go, Prokhorov will form as a major politician. He had good results in elections in million-plus cities. Now he wants to turn his success into structures, but so far he cannot come up with what structures.
Prokhorov was in the shade in the clash of power and the swamp opposition. It was important for him to not manifest in this situation. He did it competently, and now creates a batch of opposition. People who vote for him are also opposition people. Prokhorov himself is dependent on power as a billionaire. Therefore, some people in power think that he is on their leash. This is a mistake. He has political ambitions, in addition, he will never forgive that he was selected a “right business” party. Another point-Prokhorov can be blown up at one point, because he has a party-eyed past. People have already forgotten about this detail.
Sergey Mitrokhin, chairman of the Yabloko party
If Prokhorov decided to seriously engage in politics and attracting the sympathies of citizens, he must first pay with the people - to return the debt - at one time he acquired the Norilsk Nickel for nothing. After that, he became a billionaire. Norilsk Nickel was created by the works of several generations of prisoners. If you dig the earth near Norilsk there, you can find the bones of people who died when creating Norilsk Nickel. After that, cheerful guys come, who at a cheap bought an asset and converted into their billions. Prokhorov needs not to distribute grants with the help of his party, but to return the money to the descendants of the builders or simply transfer funds to the pension fund. Of course, I am not a sadist, I do not suggest that he give all my money. Let him return at least half of his condition. After that, with a clear conscience, you can go into politics. Now Prokhorov’s conscience is not very clean. If our politicians have thieves occupy the third place in the presidential election, then we, as a people, deserve this? I believe that our people do not deserve this.

Vladimir Milov, Chairman of the Public Association "Democratic Choice"
We very ironically perceive all talk about possible competition among the liberal spectrum parties. If you look at the situation with the regional elections, there are almost no competition examples of competition, but there were almost no opposition in general. Rather, on the contrary, everyone is trying to join forces. It is very good that Prokhorov, who was in the shade for some time, now decided to create a party. He gained serious fame during the presidential campaign, he has resources, so it will be good if he helps progressive forces in the regional elections by the resources of the new party. And we are not only ready to support him, but also learned to actively cooperate with him.
Olga Sapronova, candidate for membership in Mikhail Prokhorova, civil activist
During the presidential campaign of Mikhail Prokhorov, I very actively supported him: as a volunteer and in the regions, I transported information materials, and I searched supporters, and then I was still a member of the territorial commission with the right of deliberative vote. Already after the elections, I personally went to ONEXIM several times, attributed information about the violations we identified. There I accidentally ran into his sister Irina, who asked why Mikhail reduced his political activity. She said that this was connected with the cleaning of the ranks, that not all supporters and proxies of Prokhorov acted honestly and that he needed time to resume active actions. This, of course, is a little upset, because the supporters leave. I was one of the first to apply to his party, but still, I am still thinking about whether to join it or not. To make a final decision, I need to get acquainted with the program, which is not yet. If it is correlated with my civil position, then I, of course, will come. But if there is no or if there are no active actions from him, then, of course, there can be no question of any of my participation in the party.
Boris Nemtsov, co -chairman of the Party of People's Freedom
This is not a party, this is a group of support for political activists. He will not have any program. He said that he was ready to help in every possible way useful tips, legal advice. This is not a party, it is such a political consulting agency.
Dina Burkhanshina, project "Citizen Observer"
The "observer citizen" is now holding a campaign to nominate public candidates for election commissions at different levels, and, of course, we are very interested in public associations, on behalf of which these candidates could be nominated. But with the party of Prokhorov, with whom we, as a candidate, were actively cooperating in receiving areas to polling stations during the presidential election, it turns out a double situation: on the one hand, of course, it is good, if there is a willingness to support public nominees, on the other, it will still be a political party and even if there are no programs now, but it will be. And we, first of all, are an apolitical project. It is one thing - directions to the elections, completely different - the support of candidates for the election commission. In this direction, we would neither cooperate with Prokhorov nor with his party. In this case, it is better to advance from a public organization.
