WHO warns about the danger of gonorrhea

The World Health Organization (WHO) warns that the world can soon be left without effective drugs against gonorrhea.

As Dr. Mandzhula Louis Narasimkhan, the head of the WHO department, said on Wednesday, intermittent diseases, "the bacterium develops resistance to an increasing number of antibiotics." I called on to tighten the national rules for using antibiotics in order to maintain their effectiveness for longer, and enhance patient observation in order to identify the scale of the spread of the disease.

According to WHO, more than one hundred million new cases of gonorrhea are detected annually. Doctors note that people suffering from this disease are more at a higher risk of AIDS infection and diseases of the reproductive sphere.
