President Vladimir Putinsigned amendments to the law on rallies that tighten responsibility for holding rallies and other mass events. The new mass action of the white -based whitewashers, scheduled for June 12, will be held under the shadow of the new version of the law.

PublicPost spoke with future fines about the opportunity to pay on accounts and about plans for a protest future.

Ilya Yashin, co -chair of the Solidarity party:

I knew that Putin signed the law in the morning, and I had no illusions about this. From the very beginning, it was clear that the authorities were ready to accept it. For many years we have been ready for political struggle. And for us, the adoption of a particular law does not change anything. If tomorrow they accept the law “not to gather more than three”, for us this will also not change anything. The idiocy of power does not affect our strategy. We will find ways to confront tightening the law. If there are huge fines, we will in practice implement the slogan "One for all and all for one", we will collect money on the Internet. Moreover, regardless of who will be fined: a leader, activist, or a citizen who just came to a rally. Smart power fights not with protests, but with the causes of protest, but stupid power fights with protesters. In practice, this will lead to the fact that people will be angry and this will strengthen the solidarity between citizens, the principle of mutual assistance will work. You will see, it will be so. People are so annoyed by what is happening that such laws only mobilize protesters.

Boris Nemtsov, co -chairman of the Party of People's Freedom:

Oh Lord, who would doubt that he would sign! He is the author of the law! Koch had a doubt: they were bad, and he was good. This is his initiative, and his Kholui from United Russia was zealously fulfilled, and everyone saw how: disgraced, vile, swiftly. He did this, firstly, because it was his initiative, and, secondly, he understood that if he does not sign, then very many holuis, who are selflessly, although they work in a heartburn, say: “Why do we actually suffer in order to get a kick later?” Therefore, in order not to lose his Kholui company, he signed, and most importantly for him, by June 12, he will be in time.

Fines will not be a problem for us. We have a principle: one for all and all for one. In trouble, we will not leave the people whom they want to ruin. The fines will not stop us. It is quite obvious that there will be more people who want to reach rallies after the adoption of this boorish law, completely unconstitutional and contrary, by the way, the European Convention on Human Rights. Including people will come, completely far from politics.

Sergey Parkhomenko, journalist:

The main thing in this law is not an amendment on fines, but the amendments that any collection of people on the street can now be considered an unauthorized procession or rally. Any person, any group of people can be arbitrarily recognized as violating the law, simply because these people are on the street at that moment.

I think that we will not fight this. I begin from the fact that we existed in conditions of arbitrariness, well, we will, apparently, live in such conditions further. So far, the court in Russia does not learn how to make independent, fair decisions. So, in essence, this law does not change anything. I think that it is directed primarily not against some ordinary people, but against the so-called "instigators" of these troubles. And in the near future, we will most likely see several indicative examples of the application of this law. Well, we will solve problems as they arrive. It seems to me that people who are under pressure in connection with this law will not be left with him alone. Such a large number of people take part in protest promotions that this problem will somehow solve.

Leo Rubinstein, poet:

I have no particular point of view. I don't care what they accepted there. I believe that this law has nothing to do with the law as such, not to mention the fact that this power has long had nothing to do with the people. All the laws of the current government, all their decisions are a long time their internal personal file, which has nothing to do with the will of the inhabitants of our country. The only way out of this situation is to take by quantity, that is, continue to go out onto the streets and participate in protest promotions.

Mikhail Kasyanov, co -chairman of the Party of People's Freedom :

I did not have any illusions on the topic of whether Putin will sign or not sign this law. Because all this is done by his direct direction.

It is symbolic that today two events occurred at the same time: yesterday’s agreement with the presentation of the application for the rally on June 12 was canceled and the rallies' law was signed. Putin personally made these two decisions and began to compress space, trying to convince himself and his associates that people are afraid of his power. He is trying to bring down the wave.

I believe that this is a completely erroneous opinion about the situation: Putin does not really understand what is happening. He persists in his belief that the situation is under control. This, of course, is not so, the protests will not decline. The tightening of punishments does not frighten those protesters who already consider the norm and worthy behavior to resist the arbitrariness that occurs in the country.

As for fines, our party, as one of the opposition and political, will certainly help its activists. We will collect money to somehow solve the problem of fines. I emphasize once again that this law is unacceptable. Moreover, correctional labor has it, it is generally incomprehensible, because these are not hooligans, but political Protestants. Punish political activists thus simply immoral.

Nikolai Alekseev, leader of the Gayrussia LGBT movement:

Of course, we will go out. A fine of 300 thousand is for the defeat of someone else's property, but I am not going to smash someone else's property. I have never been held accountable for damage to someone else's property and never went to a demonstration in a mask. Therefore, the maximum that threatens me is 30 thousand rubles of a fine, if someone will use it. If anything, I can pay 30 thousand, for me this is a small problem. Therefore, I will go out in any case, and next time I will come to the St. Petersburg gay parade on July 7.

Natalia Taubina, Director of the Public Verdict Foundation:

This is not the first time that human rights activists, unfortunately, do not hear or listen. Although in our petition we tried to express our position in the most reasonably as possible, which consists in the fact that this law contradicts not only the norms and principles of Russian legislation, but also the norms of international law, which Russia pledged to fulfill. Unfortunately, this was not heard either at the level of consideration in the Duma, nor at the level of the Federation Council, or at the level of decision -making by the president - the veto was not followed.
Judging by how the law was adopted urgently, it is obviously aimed at the first time for the opposition shares, respectively, the application of this law can be expected on June 12, respectively, the harsh actions of the police.

Ilya Ponomarev, State Duma deputy from the Fair Russia party:

- Do you think the authorities will tighten the punishment for violations at rallies?

- There will be nothing. Where to tighten further? There is nowhere to do. And the signed bill will be non -working.
