"White Album" for those who love freedom

Vasily Shumov’s unique project “White Album” was a great success. For the first time, there was a unification of musicians of all generations and styles from all over Russia. In one clip were rock mastodons such as "DDT", "Crematorium", Gleb Samoilov, the group "Tsvety" and little-known aspiring musicians. In the "White Album" you can find bards and rappers, alternative musicians and noisemakers, groups that have been gone for a long time and that have not yet appeared. It has almost everything! Those who were not included in the collection should now chew their own feet!

In addition to groups from all over Russia, musicians from Armenia, Sweden, Cambodia, Belarus and Ukraine, Holland and England joined the collection.

I personally liked the track “ My Method ” by Roman Gorchakov, a musician who lives and works as a guide in Cambodia, and was previously a member of Sergei Udaltsov’s AKM.

Roman Gorchakov : “Despite the fact that for the last three years I have been far from Russia, I try to keep abreast of what is happening there and closely follow the movements of the opposition. It seems to me that Cambodia can give us all a good example, t “The Cambodian people, like no one else, know what unjust power is. Compared to Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, Putin is not even a child - he’s an embryo, and we can handle it too.”

Of course, the song “ Avtozak ” by the art group “NeVry” will be a hit; this song can be sung among friends on the lawn and in the police department. The guys themselves have already performed it at Occupy Abay.

NeVry: “We decided to take part in the “White Album” because we cannot ignore current events and are unable to remain silent, pretending as if we do not notice anything!”

I really liked the song by the Louna group “ Time X ”, where the charming girl Lusine Gevorkyan sings, and the song “ Our Country ” by the mega-popular singer on social networks Dasha Lux feat Krasotin. Her appearance in the White Album was a pleasant surprise.

Dasha Lux: “It’s not all up to men to make a revolution, let women take part!”

Louna: “We share the position of those people who go to rallies after the parliamentary elections on December 4, and consider it our civic duty to participate in this collection.”

I will also note cool musical compositions without lyrics at all: Krivitsky “ Hleb, zoloto ” and cool surf from Los Kosmos “ Crime True ”. For those who love humorous songs, I advise you to listen to the Los Microbios composition " Bachata 2012 ", dedicated to the events that happened to Gennady during one of the protest rallies in Moscow.

Los Kosmos: “Participation in the “White Album” for us, a purely instrumental band, is a very good and, probably, the only way to demonstrate our position.”

A surprise was the appearance in the collection of groups: "Bravo" with the song " Jazz in Orbit ", a new project of the ex-leader of Tequilajazzz - Zorge with the song " Everything is wrong " and the lead singer of the group "Ariel" Valery Yarushin with the song " He who is not caught is not a thief ". Yarushin's group played melodic folk rock in the 80s and was a frequent guest on Soviet television.

Evgeniy Khavtan: “In my deep conviction, creative people (no matter the genre) should not come closer than a hundred kilometers to “power”, and also stick their nose into politics in the hope of receiving “dividends” from this in the future. And there is nothing dirtier than the words “politics” and “politicians”. In no case do I want a situation similar to ours to be repeated today, when in 1984 our group was almost imprisoned for just one harmless mention of the government car “Chaika” in one of our songs. That’s why we’re on this album.”

It’s a pity that there were no tracks from the groups PTVP, Lyapis Trubetskoy and Vis Vitalis.

To be honest, even though I was preparing to release the album, I have not yet been able to listen to all the musicians, because... the number of tracks has exceeded 200.
