The authorities have the right to attract specialists loyal to United Russia to leadership positions. This opinion is shared by the new party leader, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

“If our party is now in power, then, of course, we will involve in the management of the state, in the management of large companies, people who sympathize with our ideals, and not our opponents,” Interfax quotes the chairman of the government .

Medvedev admitted that he “would be funny” if some political force specifically invited oppositionists to leadership positions. “We will recruit those who share our values. But this does not mean that we will not cooperate with those who, for example, express constructive ideas, but are not inside United Russia,” he added.

The prime minister also promised to carry out “careful work” among government members to encourage them to acquire a United Russia party card. In his opinion, “reasonable party discipline has never harmed any social organism.”

At a meeting with United Russia activists in Kazan, Medvedev addressed the topic of financing United Russia. He called on business representatives to help implement party projects: “this is absolutely normal, there is nothing wrong with it.” “Volunteerism is the basis of party life,” the prime minister said, emphasizing that “it must be clean, transparent money.”

Medvedev noted that he is not calling for the return of party contributions, as was the case in the CPSU.
