On the Day of Russia, June 12, the opposition will be held by a sanctioned march in the capital's boulevards. Gathering at 12 o’clock in the afternoon at the beginning of a passionate boulevard. Route: Passionate Boulevard, Petrovsky, through Trubnaya Square (the police promised to block it), then the Christmas and Sretensky Boulevards. Then down to Turgenevskaya Square and left on Academician Sakharov Avenue (part of the avenue that adjoins the boulevards). Here at 15.00 a rally will begin. The scene will stand with his back to the garden ring.
The city hall went to concessions to the organizing committee of the protest actions only at the very last moment, on the evening of June 8, when the news had already come from St. Petersburg that Vladimir Putin signed amendments to the legislation that tightens responsibility for violations at rallies (more details-on page 20). Prior to this, the negotiation process of officials with the opposition did not go well, although the requirement of the organizing committee was originally as simple as possible: provide any site inside the garden ring. Even in the evening of June 7, it seemed that the opposition would have to go along the usual route from Oktyabrskaya to Bolotnaya Square, but the very next day the city hall was canceled the agreements. As a result, the parties came together on the same route, along which, on May 13, writers walked with tens of thousands of supporters. The organizing committee of protest actions states that the upcoming action should pass as peacefully as possible: no one wants to repetitions of clashes in Bolotnaya, and therefore surprises - they will not have arranged hard - it will not. So, there is hope that on Russia Day, the authorities will not be able to celebrate the commemoration under Art. 31 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
